5.18.2009 - 2009-10 IISD Professional Development Preview Ingham ISD presented their preview of professional development offerings to constituent districts May 18, 2009. The power point presentation is available below for individuals interested in reading highlights about sessions. The preview, featuring the consultant staff who design and host the PD is available through a webinar. These offerings serve to support the school improvement plans and consolidated grant applications districts are currently completing. 1.7.2009 - February 13, 2009 - Ingham County Schools - Instructional Resources Review An opportunity for an in-depth reveiw of Education 2020 and NovaNet. Participants will have the opportunity to review both products (one in the morning and the other in the afternoon). There will also be a Q & A session where representatives of both products will answer questions side-by-side.
11.25.2008 - Linking Assessment to Instruction in Science Presented *by Theron Blakeslee* to Michigan Education Research Association as part of a symposium on assessment and instruction in subject matter areas.
9.24.2008 - November 4-5, 2008 - Ingham County Schools - Instructional Resources Review An opportunity to review remediation and direct instruction products including: Renaissance Acccelerated Math, Renaissance Accelerated Reader, SuccsssMaker, Criterion, NovaNet, Education 20/20, RM Kaliedos Math, Science and ELA.
8.25.2008 - September 22-23, 2008 - Ingham County Schools - Student Management System (SMS) Review This two-day session will include a full review of two Student Management Systems being considered for adoption by a number of Ingham County school districts. Pearson's PowerSchool will be reviewed on Monday, September 22 and Tyler's Education Management System (TEMS) will be reviewed on Tuesday, September 23. Lunch will be provided.
8.7.2008 - The New High School Graduate Rate Calculation PowerPoint presentation and handouts focusing on the soon-to-be-released four-year cohort graduation calculation rate.
2.27.2008 - Middle School Summit Presentations given at the MASCD Conference. 2.11.2008 - Statistics, CTE and the Michigan Merit Curriculum Presentation given by Capital Area Career Center Staff at the 2008 Michigan Career Education Conference.The presentation outlines the process that the CACC has been involved in to align CTE courses with statistical mathematics standards in order for students to receive foruth year math credit while participating in CACC programs.
6.7.2007 - Michigan State Performance Plan for Special Education Presentation given to the media providing background information on the new State Performance Plan for Special Education.

1.30.2007 - Best Practice This PowerPoint presentation focuses on Best Practice as an Instructional System - understanding best practices principles, structures, and strategies across and within content areas.
1.30.2007 - Utlizing the School Improvement Framework This PowerPoint presentation, shared in December 2006 and January 2007, focuses on reviewing key aspects of the Michigan School Improvement Framework, outlining the role of the SI Framework within the Education YES!, and modeling a process for completing the Ed YES! Performance Indicator self assessment.
